Kunjika Kanoi

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Strathclyde pursuing a joint honors in English and Psychology. I have studied a combination the same along with other liberal arts and business studies up to my A-Levels in India and also am preparing for a TEFL certification. I previously published an anthology with a publishing house at the age of nearly 18 and I have previously peer tutored and taught as an assistant teacher at my previous institution for younger children. When i teach I try to go back to my roots, and teach the way I learnt, through quizzes and readings, through fun activities and conversations. For example, if i were to try increase a child's vocabulary, I would play an academic version of the game name-place-animal-thing and the children would have to write an adjective-adverb-verb-noun from the given letter in a given time frame. Similarly, i would give them interesting extracts to read, in order to learn the art of creative writing and teach them all the different forms there could be to writing on the same topic.
