I am an experienced in-person English language tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for education. Currently pursuing a BA in Education at university, I have developed a deep understanding of teaching methodologies, student learning processes, and effective communication strategies. My A-levels in Sociology, Psychology, and English Literature provide me with valuable insights into language acquisition, cognitive development, and the social factors that influence learning. I have successfully tutored students at KS2, KS3, and GCSE levels, helping them enhance their reading, writing, comprehension, and analytical skills. My tutoring approach is tailored to each student’s individual learning style, ensuring that they build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Additionally, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, demonstrating my commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.My experience working one-on-one with students has allowed me to develop patience, adaptability, and a keen ability to identify and address learning gaps. Whether supporting students in exam preparation, coursework improvement, or overall language development, I strive to make learning engaging and effective.I provide structured support in literacy development, helping younger learners strengthen their phonics, spelling, and grammar skills. For older students, I focus on reading comprehension, critical thinking, and essay-writing techniques, ensuring they can confidently analyze texts, literature and express their ideas effectively. I also assist with grammar and punctuation mastery, helping students refine their writing for clarity and accuracy.
