Hello and welcome!
I enjoy working with my students in a lively and realistic way, using experiences from their lives to engage with understanding, pronunciation, and memory.
I have experience working internationally as a private teacher of group lessons in Yemen. My interactive sessions address specific areas of professional and personal daily life, allowing students to work on their language skills rather than simply learn by rote.
My ethos is simple - if you take time to truly think for yourself, really using your own expertise, logic and intellect, you will make far better decisions for you, your business and the world.
Uniquely, as a teacher I combine my qualification from Yale University in the Science of Wellbeing and the discipline of Time to Think and the Thinking Environment. This positive psychology approach builds a space and time when the specific realities and challenges of life are addressed. We will confront, reflect and conquer the challenges in your life; the challenges that are either inspiring or dividing.
I have previously worked in political communications, building and maintaining relationships with political stakeholders, local, regional, and international communities and constituents. This is also gives me greater insight into my students' backgrounds and specific. I have a great understanding and experience of influencing key policy issues related to international human rights, health, climate change, domestic violence, disability, housing, child abuse, education, and gender equality.
My students leave feeling happy, supported, and confident. The atmosphere is always one of balance, respect, and liberation, with support encouraged by me and from student peers.
