Kristan Biggs

I am a Head of MFL with 9 years teaching experience both in primary and secondary. I have been based in schools in the UK and an international school in Germany. In the UK I taught German through to A Level and beyond and French to GCSE for various exam boards. I also speak Italian. In Germany I ran the German department in an international school in Munich for three years and taught German to beginners through to native speakers. I am familiar with, and can teach, the German curriculum for German Grundschule 1.-4. Klasse (primary school). In addition to this, I am a qualified TELC examiner for German (A1-B2) and can offer tuition and examination skills for this. I offer lessons to all ages of children and adults at lengths between 30-120 minutes (most common 60 minutes).

I am an organised and conscientious educator who is able to shape lessons to each learner's individual needs. I have experience working with children from as young as 2 up to adults and have lots of experience working with individuals with SEN and can adapt my teaching as needed. I ensure that every student feels confident and comfortable and most importantly enjoys learning languages. I am happy to teach in whatever style my clients prefer - whether that is focusing on grammar, speaking, writing or learning languages for fun. I always try and teach in the target language where possible to boost exposure. I offer both online and in person tutoring and am flexible with when lessons can be offered.
