Krishaan Sivachelvam

I am a friendly and patient Maths and Science tutor who aims to help students feel more confident, capable, and prepared. I have experience supporting a range of students, from primary school pupils up to Year 12 and Year 13 students. I also used to help at my old school by supporting younger years with their learning, which helped me develop a clear, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style.

I achieved A and A* grades in my exams, so I understand what is needed to succeed academically and how to prepare effectively. I can help students with homework, topic revision, exam preparation, problem-solving, and building confidence in areas they find difficult.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style. I start by identifying what the student already understands and where they need extra support. I then explain topics clearly using step-by-step examples, simple methods, and practice questions. I believe Maths and Science become much easier when difficult topics are broken down into smaller, manageable steps.

My teaching style is calm, supportive, and focused on steady progress. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and talk through their thinking, because this is often the best way to improve.

My price is not fixed and can be adjusted depending on the student’s circumstances, lesson length, level, and the type of support needed. I am happy to be flexible and find an arrangement that works for both the student and their family. My main priority is helping students feel supported and successful.
