Hi! My name is Kismat and I’m a dedicated Maths tutor offering friendly, supportive online lessons for students up to GCSE level, whether studying for SATS exams, 11+ exams, or GCSEs, or merely needing more help to make progress in maths.
In 2025, I completed my GCSEs and achieved all grade 9s, and a proud 236/240 in Maths. Because of this, I understand how challenging Maths can sometimes feel, particularly when you know the content but struggle to apply it to exam questions. Having been through the process myself, I can explain topics in a clear and straightforward way without making things unnecessarily complicated, so that maths can feel less intimidating and a lot more fun.
In my studies I have found several methods that helped me to make the most progress, and these have proven to work for my peers and students. My aim is not simply to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why an answer is right and develop the confidence to tackle similar questions independently. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or simply looking to improve your grades, lessons can be adapted to suit your individual needs.
In my lessons, I advocate for students to overcome their own mistakes, which means working through questions together until they are confident enough to tackle them on their own. I focus on a mix of content breakdowns and exam style questions (if preparing for a particular exam) to not only help students to understand the questions, but be able to apply that learning in even the most difficult instances.
My lessons are relaxed, encouraging and focused on making steady progress. I offer a 30-45 minute introductory lesson to get to know a student better and to help them feel more comfortable with me. In this we will develop a tailored lesson plan so that our time is used effectively to target weaker areas and help to build confidence across all areas of maths.
If you’re looking for a tutor who can provide a passion for maths and understands the exam experience from a student’s perspective, as well as providing clear support, I’d be happy to help!
