I have 5 years of teaching experience at upper primary level.

I will source for the appropriate course materials after identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the student, and also identifying the best learning style that suits the student, and adjust accordingly. I believe each student has unlimited potential to be unlocked.
My method is simple, letting the student understand concepts and enjoy learning and motivating them by being positive and encouraging. I will teach them time management with practice papers. I am also very strict when I need to be.

For English, my approach is to let students enjoy the language and read more, and hence learning vocabulary the organic way. For weaker students, I will build their foundations in grammar. I also put an emphasis on understanding how exam questions are set and will teach student how to answer comprehension questions. I also teach my students to critically analyse readings, and to formulate sound arguments for essays.

For Math, my approach is to let students understand the Mathematical concept/formulae first by breaking down complex concepts into bite sized pieces of information for them to understand. I will show them the basic questions first step by step, and then let them do some on their own. Next, I will challenge them with harder questions. Then, I will do practice papers with them, showing them how the concepts are applied.

For online lessons, I make my lessons interactive by letting my students play some relevant games/kahoot quizzes, or by showing them Youtube videos.
