Hello everyone,

I'm Kieron, pleased to meet you. I've been a teacher for over 5 years, with the majority of my experience teaching online. I enjoy building my own courses, with recent examples including lessons on AI - for children and adults, Creative Writing, and Geography by Pictures. I also like reading about 'ways of thinking'.

- About Me -

A bit about me: I have a degree in Environmental Management and worked as a land surveyor (making maps) for 15 years. But in my free time, I like reading science fiction, writing short stories (I've published 3!), and volunteering in a local community garden. I've also just finished building my own house, which was an adventure!

- Teaching -

I like to teach in a relaxed and welcomingfun way. I think learning should be exciting when possible, because interest in a subject is the first step - and possibly most important step - to success. I like using real world examples and stories to simplify complicated topics. I'm always patient and happy to re-explain things. My goal is to get you actually excited about learning.

I customize my lessons based on your goals and interests. Want to chat about soccer or comcis? I like those things too. We'll develop in-class jokes and grow together. I'll gently correct you without judgement, because mistakes help you grow!

- Why do I teach? -

Why do I teach? Well, I want to help people learn; but more importantly, I want to help people connect across cultures. As technology brings us together, understanding each other becomes more important. I also feel responsible for sharing knowledge that can shape the future, especially about things like AI safety.
