Khawar Mahmood Khan

I am a Software Engineering student at Royal Holloway, University of London, currently working towards a BSc degree and aiming for a strong 1:1. My academic journey hasn’t been a straight line — I took a two-year gap before returning to my studies — and that experience has shaped the way I teach. It’s made me patient, understanding, and very aware that everyone learns at a different pace.

My lessons are always one-to-one and tailored to the individual student. I focus on building a solid understanding of key concepts rather than rushing through material. If something doesn’t make sense the first time, that’s completely fine — we’ll approach it from a different angle until it clicks. I believe learning should feel engaging, supportive, and even fun, not stressful or intimidating.

As a software engineering student, I’m particularly strong in logical thinking, problem-solving, and breaking down complex ideas into simple, memorable explanations. I like to use real-world examples, step-by-step walkthroughs, and guided practice so students feel confident applying what they’ve learned on their own.

Having been both a struggling student and a successful one, I understand the challenges that come with studying, exams, and self-doubt. My goal is not just to help students improve academically, but to help them feel more confident in their abilities and enjoy the learning process along the way.
