My lessons are calm, supportive, and fully tailored to meet each child’s unique learning style and needs. I work with children from Reception through to Year 3, focusing on building strong foundations in English and Maths that are essential for their early education. This includes phonics, early reading skills, spelling, handwriting, number recognition, number bonds, counting, and basic problem-solving. I believe learning should be enjoyable, so I use a variety of teaching methods such as visuals, interactive activities, educational games, and practical examples to keep lessons engaging and fun, while ensuring clear understanding.
Each lesson is carefully structured around your child’s individual pace and confidence level. I take time at the start to assess what your child finds challenging and what areas they enjoy most, then design lessons that are both supportive and motivating. I encourage questions and celebrate progress with positive reinforcement, helping to build your child’s self-esteem and love of learning.
With over 2.5 years of experience working directly in London primary schools as a teaching assistant, I have supported a diverse range of children, including those with additional learning needs or mild special educational needs (SEN). I understand how to adapt lessons to suit different abilities and learning preferences, creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore new concepts and make mistakes without fear.
My goal is to help your child develop not only key academic skills but also confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning that will benefit them throughout their education. I aim to work closely with parents to ensure that my lessons complement what children are learning at school and to provide regular feedback on progress.
Ultimately, I want every child I work with to feel supported, capable, and proud of their achievements as they build a strong foundation for their future learning journey.
