If they do not then I build on any areas of improvement first. However, if they do I give them more advanced work and move onto content they will have moving forward to the next academic year. This way they will be ahead and be able to confidently learn throughout the year.

Something that is key to me is making learning enjoyable for the student because this will encourage better learning and intake of content.
