I have loved Maths ever since I started secondary school, which is why I'm now studying Mathematics at Manchester Metropolitan University. I offer patient, interactive lessons focused on improving problem-solving techniques. I welcome all questions and work hard to foster a supportive environment that inspires students to achieve their full potential. I am also DBS checked. I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics and have A-Level grades ABB for Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry.
• Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition to 2 KS3 and KS4 students, successfully preparing them for varying exam board specifications including OCR and Edexcel.
• Utilise online learning websites such as MathsWatch, MathsGenie, and CorbettMaths to assign targeted homework, reinforcement exercises, and track student progress.
• Complete diagnostic tests using past exam papers to identify learning gaps and focus lessons on challenging areas of difficulty.
• Compile personalised daily revision question booklets to put active recall skills into practice, improving long-term memory.
• Use advanced resources from MathsGenie's Scheme of Learning to teach ahead of the school curriculum to push high-achieving students and encourage deeper engagement.
For struggling students, I can help with topics they are finding hard at school during the lesson and then give them exam-style questions as homework. Additionally, if they are generally forgetful, I'll provide for them some questions from previous topics we have revised and tell them to complete at least one a day (this is a form of active recall).
For passionate students, who find what they learn at school is fairly okay for them, our lessons will be used to practise harder questions of the same topic, or to learn new higher grade topics.
The typical length of my lessons will be 1 hour.
I have tutored family and friends for 4+ years.
Happy to use any online video calling platform: Zoom, Teams, etc.
