My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to the needs of each individual learner. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued and confident, so I place a strong emphasis on building positive relationships with my students. By creating a calm, nurturing and encouraging environment, I help children feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions and developing their confidence as learners.

I aim to make lessons enjoyable and interactive, using a range of activities and resources to keep children motivated and engaged. Every lesson is carefully planned to meet the needs of the learner, whether they require support to fill gaps in their understanding, challenge to extend their learning, or a boost in confidence.

My teaching is informed by current educational best practice and follows an "I do, We do, You do" approach. I begin by clearly modelling new learning and sharing my thinking process. We then work through examples together before pupils apply their knowledge independently. This gradual release of responsibility helps children experience success and develop greater independence over time.

As an experienced primary teacher of 15 years, I am skilled at identifying misconceptions and adapting my teaching to ensure that every child makes progress. I regularly use questioning, feedback and retrieval practice to check understanding and strengthen learning.

Above all, I want my students to enjoy learning. When children feel happy, calm and supported, they are far more likely to succeed, and my goal is to help every learner reach their full potential while developing a positive attitude towards education!
