My lessons are fully tailored to the individual student and designed to align closely with their specific GCSE exam board and personal goals. I understand that parents want lessons to be focused, structured, and effective, with clear progress over time, so I make sure each session has a clear purpose.

At the start, I discuss the student’s needs with both the student and parent. This includes identifying their exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), target grade, current level, and any specific topics they find challenging. Lessons are then planned around the exact GCSE specification, ensuring that only relevant content is covered and that students are fully prepared for the style of questions they will face in exams.

Each lesson follows a clear format. We begin with a short recap to reinforce previous learning, followed by focused teaching of a specific topic using step by step explanations and worked examples. Students then practise exam style questions during the lesson so I can provide immediate feedback and correct mistakes early. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, showing students how marks are awarded and how to structure their answers clearly.

Lessons are supportive and interactive, helping students build confidence as well as understanding. I adapt my teaching pace and methods depending on how the student learns best, whether they need more repetition, visual explanations, or challenge questions.

With over two years of experience tutoring GCSE maths in a tuition centre and online, I have helped students of varying abilities make steady progress. Parents are kept informed of progress, and lessons can be adjusted at any time to suit changing needs or priorities.
