I believe that getting good at English can only be aided by practise, and coming across a wider range of literature that you would come across in examinations, including poetry, prose and plays. Learning the context of different literary movements means there is also flexibility in approaching unseen texts. Therefore, in my lessons, I will prepare different types of literature for students to analyse and guide them in a helpful direction. I will also make sure that students can answer as comprehensively in exams as possible by finding out the criterias they are weak in (for example, in A-levels, many students are unfamiliar with the AO3 criteria, which focuses on contexts and interpretations), and helping them practise in that criteria.
