My lessons are supportive, engaging, and personalised to help each student feel confident and motivated. I begin by understanding the student’s current level and identifying areas that need improvement. From there, I create a lesson plan that focuses on building understanding, not just memorising facts.
Each session usually starts with a quick recap or quiz to reinforce previous learning. I then introduce new content using simple explanations, visuals, and real-life examples ; especially in science topics, where this helps make abstract ideas more relatable. I always encourage questions and make sure students feel comfortable asking for clarification.
Once the concept is understood, we work through practice problems together. I use exam-style questions to help students become familiar with how topics are assessed, and I guide them on how to approach these questions logically and confidently. I often include tips on time management and revision strategies to support independent learning.
As a biomedical science undergraduate with a strong academic background, I’ve studied Biology, Chemistry, and Maths in depth and understand what examiners are looking for at GCSE and KS3 levels. I’ve also helped classmates and younger students with revision and homework, so I’m used to adapting my teaching style to suit different learning needs.
Whether you’re struggling with a specific topic, want regular support with schoolwork, or are aiming to boost your grades before exams, I’ll work with you to reach your goals in a positive and encouraging environment.
