Hello, my name is Keith, and I am a patient, friendly and supportive maths tutor. I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics, build confidence and develop a more positive attitude towards mathematics. My lessons are suitable for primary school, secondary school, GCSE and adult learners who need support with homework, revision, exam preparation or improving their general maths skills.
I have an academic background in computer science and informatics, which has strengthened my mathematical reasoning, logical thinking and problem-solving skills. I also have experience volunteering as a teacher at St Elizabeth Primary School Mukuru, where I taught subjects including mathematics, computer science, physical education and life skills to junior secondary students. This experience taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt my explanations and support students with different learning needs.
During lessons, I explain each topic step by step and use practical examples to make challenging ideas easier to understand. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems with guidance before attempting similar questions independently. I can help with topics such as arithmetic, fractions, percentages, algebra, geometry, statistics and exam-style questions.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to the student’s current level, goals and preferred learning style. I aim to create a calm and respectful learning environment where mistakes are treated as an important part of progress. Whether you want to improve your grades, prepare for an exam or simply feel more confident with Maths, I would be happy to support you.
