Kayleigh Kinsella

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each individual student’s needs, abilities and learning goals. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges and preferred learning style before developing a personalised approach. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

As an English tutor, I can support students with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, comprehension, essay writing, literary analysis, homework and exam preparation. Lessons are interactive and structured around the areas where each student needs the most support. Depending on their age and goals, we might work through school assignments, practise exam questions, analyse literature, develop writing skills or use fun and engaging activities to strengthen their understanding. I also focus on building independent learning skills and confidence so students feel better equipped to tackle challenges on their own.

I hold an Honours Degree in English and Equality Studies and am currently studying a postgraduate degree in Secondary English Teaching. I have experience working with children and young people aged 4–18, which has helped me appreciate the importance of patience, flexibility and adapting my approach to different learners.

My greatest passion is helping people, and I take pride in being approachable, supportive and encouraging. I understand that some students may find English challenging or feel anxious about their abilities, and I want every student to feel listened to, valued and capable of achieving their goals. I am always willing to go the extra mile to provide additional explanations, encouragement and resources where possible. Ultimately, I want my students not only to improve their English skills but also to develop confidence, enjoy learning and feel proud of their progress.
