I am a qualified Maths teacher with 7 years of experience teaching GCSE and iGCSE Maths from Year 7 to Year 13, across both Higher and Foundation tiers. I have a proven ability to stretch and challenge students of all abilities, ensuring personalised progress.

As a qualified SENCO of 2 years, I quickly identify individual learning needs and tailor lessons for maximum impact, enjoyment, and confidence. My teaching experience spans Functional Skills Maths, Entry Level Certificate, and extensive work with students with dyscalculia.

I often use games to develop core number sense and enumeration skills. Much like a Jenga tower, the fundamental numeracy concepts must be secure before introducing abstract concepts such as algebra. Most concepts in Maths can be visualised to support understanding, and physical manipulatives are so valuable in supporting memory and comprehension.
