As a law student who has just finished her IGCSEs in 2024, I know Maths and English can feel overwhelming, confusing, or just frustrating at times, especially when lessons move quickly, or things aren’t explained in a way that makes sense. As an international student whose first language isn’t English, I understand what it’s like to struggle in class and feel unsure about asking questions. That experience is a big part of how and why I teach the way I do.
In my lessons, I focus on making things clear and manageable. For Maths, I break down topics step by step and explain the logic behind each method, so you understand why something works rather than just memorising formulas. For English, I help build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking by using simple explanations, real-life examples, and plenty of practice.
I’m patient, supportive, and easy to talk to, and I aim to create a relaxed space where it’s okay to make mistakes. Lessons are interactive and balanced, mixing explanation, practice, and feedback, so you stay involved rather than just listening. I care a lot about confidence, because once students feel more comfortable with a subject, improvement becomes much easier.
With strong academic achievements, including a Pearson Excellence Award and Outstanding ESL recognition, I combine high standards with a calm and encouraging approach. My goal is for students to leave lessons feeling clearer, more confident, and less stressed, and to slowly start feeling that Maths and English aren’t as scary or boring as they once seemed.
