Hi! My name's Katie, and I'm a 19 year old student, currently learning English Literature at the University of Bristol. At A Level I took English Literature, Geography, and Politics, and loved all of them. I'm interested in tutoring because I am keen to help you get the grades that you need in a welcoming and fun environment. I love to discuss different books, and want to help make writing essays, and preparing for exams easier and more accessible for you. School lessons can often be fast-paced and hard to follow with bigger classes, so I'm here to give you an extra nudge of support if needed.
My lessons would mostly be for secondary school children (11-16) studying English at KS3, and would generally be 1 hour long. English can often feel like a daunting and analytical subject, so I'm here to make it feel more accessible; keeping lessons engaging and hands-on with majority discussion-based activities. In creating a welcoming and safe (while still academically challenging!) learning environment, I want to give your child confidence to put forward all of their ideas, and raise any questions that they have. I love working with children and have previously worked as a childcare assistant at my local after school club. I am confident that I can get your child the grades they need with my knowledge of exam structure, English Literature, and previous experience in childcare:).
