I like to ensure that all my lessons are completely tailored to the needs of each student. Depending on ability, I will often start with the basics and get to know the student and their interests first (hobbies, family, about them etc). From this first lesson, it will allow me to gain insight into what the student needs and wants to learn most.

Lesson by lesson students will see improvements in not only their ability to speak English but also in their confidence in learning a new language. I will work with Powerpoints, shared documents/ pages, pictures, prompts etc (bearing in mind these will vary from student to student depending on age and ability). I will often send students some extra reading/ worksheet for them to prepare for the next lesson. This can be very rewarding for both myself and the student as it allows them to acknowledge what areas they find tricky and that I can focus closely on.

I worked in Spain as an English Language Assistant at Primary School and also held private in person lessons 3 or 4 evenings a week. Although most of my experience is from lessons in person, I will use my experience and tips and tricks to provide an engaging and comfortable online learning atmosphere for each student.

I will push the students to the best of their abilities whilst also having fun and getting to know each other along the way!
