I have over 3 years of experience from working at a tutoring centre and private tutoring both online and in person. I have worked with groups and 1-1. I am available online and face to face in Bromley (London) and Reading (Berkshire).

In person lessons tend to follow a format of spellings/a starter then a worksheet/a focus topic spilt up with a game after. Then some reading followed by another worksheet/topic with a game to end. Online is similar with us using an interactive whiteboard to keep engagement up. I use google meet with camera on for this. I also ask the student and parents if there is anything specific they would like to work on beforehand and if the student has any homework they need any help on. I tend to set some spellings for the following week and a homework depending on what the student/parents would like.

Maths lessons are the same with starting with a starter/questions involving last weeks topic and then diving into a focus topic for that week. Anything specific requested will be covered, we will go over the topic first then continue and secure knowledge with sample questions. I find breaking it up with some maths related games also really helps concentration levels. I use google meet for online lessons.

I will ask questions to challenge their knowledge and understanding of each topic with mini quizzes and prompts to get them to the correct answer. I can also teach History up to A-Level.
