Katherine Armstrong

I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher specialising in teaching children in the early years and just beyond, from 3 to 6 years, in all subjects. I have over 6 years experience in the classroom. Throughout my teaching career including tutoring, the children I have taught have made excellent progress and my lessons have been described as stimulating. I am excellent at enabling children to make fast progress in phonics, reading and writing. To ensure this, within my teaching I use a variety of different teaching styles such as games, learning videos and repetition to engage children, making lessons fun and catering for the needs of different learners. I form strong relationships with children quickly, which enables their progress to flourish. I plan individual lessons and prepare materials to use throughout the tutorial session to ensure maximum progress. It’s important to me that your child enjoys our sessions and is happy and confident throughout. A parent of a child I tutored told me that after my tutoring "he went from being at the bottom of the class to the top of the class."
