In my lessons I will teach GCSE level maths to secondary students. I am able to teach students currently achieving any grade in order to help them progress. I can start with the basics and work up, or focus on grade 9 topics and questions. I will first discuss with students/parents on the areas that the student would like to go over or are struggling in so that we can focus on those areas if needed. The content of each lesson will be largely based on what works best for the student as some topics may be harder for them to understand, while others may be quickly grasped. I am able to provide questions for them to work on both with me and in their own time, and explanations for GCSE topics. These explanations may be in the form of a powerpoint, written explanations on paper, or explained exam questions. This will depend on the topic that I will be teaching and the students preferences on which method of teaching is the most helpful to their understanding on the topic. I am able to tutor either online or in person in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and can do up to 5 hours every week, in evenings (after 5pm, however this can be earlier depending on the day and location and wherher it is online or in person) and on weekends (between 7am and 8pm).
