My lessons are structured around a clear improvement plan rather than random topic-by-topic revision. In the first session, I identify specific gaps in understanding and patterns in mistakes, then create a focused plan targeting the areas that will make the biggest difference to grades.

Sessions typically follow a three-step structure:

Clear explanation of the topic using simple, step-by-step methods

Guided practice where we work through questions together

Independent exam-style questions to build confidence and speed

I place strong emphasis on exam technique — understanding command words, showing working clearly, managing time effectively and recognising common GCSE question patterns. This ensures students are not only improving their understanding, but also learning how to maximise marks.

Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I’m very familiar with the current exam structure and expectations. I also have experience supporting students in school settings during university, which has strengthened my ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles.

Lessons are calm, focused and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, and I ensure they leave each session feeling clearer and more confident than when they arrived.
