Being a student myself not too long ago, I completely understand how challenging mathematics can feel at times and how easy it is to lose motivation. My goal as a tutor is to make sure that learning maths never feels like a boring lecture. Instead, I design my lessons to be engaging, interactive, and enjoyable, so that you see maths not as a burden but as a subject you can truly appreciate and even look forward to.
The structure of my lessons is flexible and tailored to each student’s needs. I begin by assessing your current understanding, identifying areas of strength as well as the topics that need more attention. From there, I create a learning plan that matches your pace and learning style. If you prefer step-by-step explanations, we will work through problems together until you feel confident. If you learn better through practice, I will provide carefully chosen exercises to build fluency and reinforce key concepts.
I place a strong emphasis on developing problem-solving skills and logical thinking, rather than simply memorising formulas. This approach ensures that you understand the “why” behind the methods, which makes it much easier to apply them in exams or real-life contexts. At the same time, I focus on building your confidence, because I believe that half the battle with maths is overcoming self-doubt.
Lessons are interactive and two-way: I encourage questions, discussions, and active participation. I use examples from everyday life to show how maths is connected to the real world, which often makes it more relatable and easier to grasp. My ultimate aim is not just to help you score better in exams, but also to help you develop a positive relationship with the subject and the ability to learn independently.
