Firstly, it will be essential to start with the learning objectives, identifying the core idea behind the lesson. Different concepts of economics and business such as demand and supply theory, business structure, and government policies have different objectives which should be formulated and followed strictly.

Secondly, using real-life examples or case studies is an engaging tool and will help my students connect the theories and concepts taught with real-life scenarios, applications, and outcomes. Bringing current events from the economic and business world to the classroom is an opportunity to illustrate new trends and concepts and compare and contrast similar and contrasting examples in these fields.

Thirdly, giving students practical tasks that help them understand economics and business concepts can help them understand the subject. This could be in the form of scenarios where they play a role as a business investor, economist, or decision-maker.

Fourthly, interactive teaching methods such as role-playing, group discussions, timed debates and contests are helpful in engaging students’ attention and promoting teamwork amongst the students.

Lastly, assessment and feedback within lessons are essential in judging students’ progress, identifying areas that need improvement, and providing a basis for future lesson planning.

In conclusion, teaching economics and business depends on the instructor’s ability to understand the lesson's objectives and plan relevant strategies. Incorporating real-life scenarios and providing tasks that incorporate practical activities is a great way to engage students and help make the subject more relatable.
