My Mathematics lessons are structured, supportive, and adapted to each student’s individual learning needs. I begin by identifying the student’s current level and any gaps in their understanding, then develop a clear learning plan to strengthen essential concepts and build confidence step by step.

I specialise in secondary Mathematics for Grades 6–11, including GCE O/L, with particular experience in catch-up programmes for students who have missed lessons or need help strengthening their mathematical foundations.

Lessons typically include clear explanations of key concepts, guided examples, problem-solving practice, targeted exercises, and regular review. For students preparing for examinations, I place strong emphasis on past-paper practice, identifying common question types, improving problem-solving strategies, correcting recurring mistakes, and developing effective time-management skills.

I am a professionally trained Sri Lankan government Mathematics teacher with 18 years of classroom teaching experience, including extensive experience teaching Mathematics in English medium. I hold a BSc covering Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Physics, a National Diploma in Teaching (Mathematics), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science Education.

My aim is not simply to help students find the correct answer, but to help them understand the mathematical reasoning behind it so that they can approach new problems independently and confidently.
