My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or achieve a higher grade in GCSE Maths, I create a supportive and structured learning environment that helps them make steady progress.

At the beginning of our lessons, I identify any gaps in understanding and assess which areas need the most attention. I then explain concepts clearly using worked examples before guiding students through practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and focus on ensuring they understand the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising steps.

One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is teaching problem-solving skills. Many students find it difficult to approach unfamiliar questions, even when they understand the topic. I help students break down complex problems into manageable steps, recognise patterns, and develop logical thinking strategies that can be applied across different areas of mathematics. This approach not only improves exam performance but also builds confidence and independence.

I have two years of experience supporting GCSE students and achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics. Through my experience, I have developed a patient and encouraging teaching style that helps students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I regularly incorporate exam-style questions and past-paper practice into lessons to strengthen both mathematical understanding and exam technique. My aim is not only to help students achieve their target grades but also to help them become confident, independent learners who feel capable of tackling challenging mathematical problems.
