I moved to England at the age of 7 and within 6 months I was completely proficient in English and have now been speaking English at native language level for 11 years which mean that I know exactly how to teach English to anyone no matter their current English speaking ability. I belive the fact that English is not my first language makes me more relatable to non English speakers and also makes it much easier for me to teach since I've been in the same position myself. From my personal experience the best method for learning a new language is to challenge yourself from the very beginning and not to give yourself easy takes like for example learning individual words, instead try to start forming coherent sentences. This way of learning not only more effectively teaches how to speak and understand the language being learned but also actually makes it a lot easier to learn and remember the translation of individual words since you don't just find out what they are but you start to implement them in speech.
