My lessons are focused on making topics feel clear and manageable rather than overwhelming. I try to explain things in simple steps so students actually understand the content instead of just memorising it and forgetting it later.
I have work experience teaching in a primary school, where I learned how to explain ideas clearly and adapt my teaching to different students. I also regularly help my peers during exam periods, which has given me a good understanding of what students find difficult and how to explain things in a way that makes sense.
Lessons are structured but relaxed. We usually start by going over what the student finds hardest, then break topics down using examples, practice questions, and clear explanations. I focus a lot on building confidence and helping students feel more comfortable with exam-style questions.
I also use some slightly funky memorising techniques and shortcuts that help information stick. They might feel a bit different at first, but they’re designed to be memorable and useful in exams.
Overall, I aim to create a supportive and friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tutor GCSE and younger students, and I always adapt lessons to suit each individual.
