Hi! I’m a Biomedical Engineering university student offering friendly, supportive and engaging Maths lessons for secondary school and GCSE students.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and current level. I believe Maths becomes much easier when you understand why a method works rather than simply memorising formulas, so I focus on breaking difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps.
During lessons, we can work through examples together, identify areas that need improvement and practise different types of questions until the student feels confident tackling them independently. I can also help students prepare for tests and GCSE exams by working through past-paper questions, explaining common mistakes and developing effective problem-solving and exam techniques.
I have experience working with children through volunteering, which has helped me develop patience, communication skills and an approachable teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently, so I am happy to adapt the pace and teaching style to suit each student.
My aim is not only to help students improve their Maths, but also to build their confidence and make the subject feel less intimidating. Whether a student needs help understanding a particular topic, wants regular support with schoolwork or is preparing for their GCSEs, I will provide a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Lessons are available online or in person, depending on the student’s preference and location.
