I am an experienced and qualified teacher of mathematics. I have worked in various secondary schools across the West Midlands over the last 10 years in various roles, and recently have been tutoring for the National Tutoring Programme.

I tutor secondary school pupils from years 7 to 11, mainly key stage 4 ( year 10 and 11) and have a track record of achieving excellent results at GCSE level. I am currently only teaching for the UK Edexcel exam board higher and foundation for GCSE students.

I have been tutoring alongside being a full time teacher since qualiifying and have now transitioned to becoming a full time tutor. I have tutored in small groups, one to one online and in person for a number of years with approximately a 1000 hours taught on tutorful alone.

In terms of lessons, depending on what the purpose for starting lessons is, i can either follow the school curriculum to reinforce what has been covered in school or to address any misconceptions. Or can have an assessment type lesson to begin with where we look at a variety of different topics to get a better understanding of level then start to work on the topics going forward. Some year 11 students tend to know what they want to work on so this can be decided at the start of the lesson if need be.

Homework is sent at the end of each lesson with answers for self marking, if required. If there are any issues with homework this can be covered in the next session if need be.

Maths can be a tough subject for a lot of people and a little extra help can go a long way. I have had the privilege to help many students achieve their goals over the years. If you choose to work with me you'll be getting tuition from a dedicated qualified teaching professional.
