I love teaching and thrive when approached with a challenging task, which makes me eager to support others to succeed, through meaningful initiative and a glass half fun mindset. As a neurodivergent individual, I understand the need for individual, tailored teaching styles to suit any student, and strive to communicate consistently to ensure each lesson is fulfilling and valuable. I love to combine multiple methods of teaching and adapt as we discover which ways work best. I aim to not only increase knowledge, but to help my students to gain confidence in their abilities — which will translate to a more positive attitude towards the subject. I’m a huge advocate for student led learning, and will focus on individual targets in each session and explore methods to best suite the student: for example, I learn best from sound and find it helpful to discuss topics so they stick; however some students learn best visually, so I would use pictures and gestures as this would be more effective. I’m approachable and kind, but always try to keep lessons focused as well as fun.
