Art has long been a means of expression and relaxation. Mixed Media Mindful art combines creativity with mindfulness practices to promote mental well-being and stress relief. This beginner class is designed to introduce you to creating art for mindfulness, helping you tap into your creativity while fostering a sense of peace and concentration.
Before we begin, gather the following materials. Don't worry about having the best tools; what's important is that you feel comfortable using them. Mixed media sketchbook or paper Coloured pencils, markers, acrylic or watercolour paints Paintbrushes Canvas (optional)
Mindfulness is the practice of being present and fully engaged in the moment without judgment. When applied to art, mindfulness involves focusing on the process of creation rather than the final product. This practice helps clear the mind and reduce stress.
Lessons may include : 1. Breath and Sketch 2. Color Meditation 3. Nature-Inspired Art 4.Creating a Mindful Art Routine 5. Let's see where the art takes us. ( no plan just art!)
Class Is ideal for beginners of all ages. Novices and more advanced artists who want to learn more mindful mixed media techniques are always welcome too. Classes are normally between 45 mins to 1 hour in length.
