Teaching English to all levels is one of my passions. In group classes, I encourage full interaction between learners to develop confidence as well as skills. Learners practise together and learn from each other. This usually makes classes fun, with less stress! For 1:1 sessions, I have a more personal approach, working together to understand the requirements of the learner - their aspirations and objectives, and planning a scheme of works to enable learners to achieve and exceed their targets.
Learning resources include Powerpoint presentations, audio and video practices, handouts and a variety of class activities to keep learning fresh. We practise speaking and listening, reading and writing, as well as the major language systems used in English - grammar, vocabulary and functional language. Of course, any classes can be personalised and adapted to suit the requirements of the learners, with options to include some British history, cultural studies as well as ESOL for IT, Basic Maths and ESOL for Work, and even ESOL for your Driving Test. I can offer online tutoring for learners in any locations. Face-to-face learning is available across Leicestershire.
