Need to prepare for an exam, clarify school curriculum, or simply practice your language skills? I'm here for you!

Over the past ten years, I have taught English in a wide range of contexts: from one-to-one conversation lessons to group classes, and from beginners to advanced learners preparing for certificate exams. My approach to teaching is flexible, student-centered, and highly interactive. I tailor my lessons using both top-down and bottom-up approaches, always building them around themes that engage and inspire my students.
Teaching students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds has deepened my understanding of the importance of inclusive education and the necessity of adapting teaching methods to suit different learners. This adaptability allows me to meet each learner where they are and help them achieve their individual goals.
Teaching a foreign language has also taught me how to create lesson plans tailored to the specific needs and language capabilities of my students, ensuring that each individual receives the support and guidance they need to grow. While some students may learn the language best through immersion, thus prompting me to expose them to and engage with primary sources, others may prefer a more instructional approach that breaks the language down into smaller, manageable components – and often, it’s a mixture of both.

In addition to my English teaching experience, I hold a First-Class Honours Degree in French with Distinction in Spoken French, and I have been working professionally as a French translator since 2020. While I have not yet formally taught French, I am excited to embark on this new chapter, applying the methods and insights I have refined through my years as an English teacher. My deep appreciation for French language and culture, combined with my teaching expertise, positions me to guide new learners with enthusiasm and clarity.

Beyond the classroom, my lifelong involvement with the Scouts has equipped me with strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills. Through this informal education, I’ve learned how to create supportive, engaging learning environments that encourage curiosity, confidence, and collaboration — values I bring to every lesson I teach.

I look forward to working together! :)
