My academic foundation includes:
GCSEs: Grade 9 in English Language, and Grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Literature, and Physics.
A-Levels: Grade A in Biology, and Grade Bs in Chemistry and Mathematics.
I believe in active engagement and tailoring my methods to suit each student's unique learning style. My lessons are designed to be interactive, incorporating clear explanations and real-world examples to make complex ideas relatable and memorable. A cornerstone of my teaching philosophy is to train students to become highly adaptable to new content by stretching their minds through and beyond the curriculum. This involves encouraging critical thinking, challenging assumptions, and building resilience when faced with unfamiliar material.
A significant part of my motivation stems from personal experience. I am determined to teach from my personal mistakes from my own 11 plus exam attempt, providing insights not just into academic content, but also into effective exam strategies and mindset. This direct experience allows me to empathize with the pressures students face and guide them through common pitfalls. I am genuinely excited to use my valuable experience to good use, equipping my students not only with the knowledge they need to succeed in their 11+ and SATs exams, and KS2/KS3 studies, but also with the transferable skills necessary for future learning. My ultimate goal is to cultivate independent learners who can navigate any academic hurdle with confidence and resilience throughout their educational journey.
