From my experiance of university study in phsyics, I have found that being able to imagine the mathmatical/physical question in terms of analogies or physical systems make them far easier to understand Therefore, my style of tutoring would involve visialisation work in order to understand how mechanisms both physical and mathematical aould opperate to figure out the answer to any question.
