My lessons are interactive, structured, and always tailored to each student’s goals. I like to start by identifying what you already understand and where you feel less confident — this helps me plan sessions that build on your strengths while tackling problem areas directly.
For maths, I focus on clarity and repetition through worked examples, past paper questions, and visual explanations to make complex ideas more intuitive. In computer science and Python, I emphasise step-by-step learning, clear commenting, and hands-on coding practice so you can build real confidence when writing or debugging programs.
Each session includes short recap questions, time for reflection, and clear take-home notes or exercises to reinforce progress. I also encourage open discussion — I want students to ask “why,” not just “how.”
Each session is designed to keep students actively engaged from start to finish. Lessons begin with a quick warm-up or recap to refresh key ideas, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts broken down into simple, logical steps. Students are encouraged to think aloud, ask questions freely, and take ownership of their learning through guided problem-solving. Practice is a core part of every lesson — we work through examples together, then move on to independent tasks to build confidence and accuracy. Visuals, analogies, and real-life applications are used to make abstract ideas more relatable, while regular mini check-ins ensure understanding before moving forward. By the end of each session, students should feel a clear sense of progress and leave with practical strategies they can apply in homework, exams, or coding projects.
