English is spoken in most parts of the world. It is the major means of communication around the world, even in countries that have got their own native tongue, it is still spoken by a sub-set of individuals and for various reasons : while engaging in business conversations, others while schooling or trying to learn one craft or the other, English language comes in handy.

I have helped quite a number of individuals, especially individuals who are non - native speakers to gain some level of competence while speaking the English language. However, to be proficient at speaking the English language, the other aspects of the language are usually taught and incorporated in the lesson. It helps the pupils /target audience to be well grounded in the language. Hence the grammar, collocations, lexical renderings, that are key in other aspect of the language like writing are stressed.
These and many more facets if the language which will be attended to in due course will further aid the pupil to read and listen correctly, all of which would aid understanding and conversation with the English Language.

There might be need to teach the language from the very basic, for example the alphabets, vowels, consonants and how sounds are pronounced, to providing complex information, for instance, constructing sentences, using clauses and phrases that are grammatically acceptable. All of these and many more are what the student (s) stand to gain.

Students often benefit best when they apply themselves to what they are being taught. I often involve them through assignments and take home projects that would help them develop in their ability to learn the language faster.
