Joseph Brown

I am an experienced English teacher from Ireland, and I’ve been teaching in China since 2019. Over the years I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from very young children in training centres, to primary and middle school students in classrooms.

My lessons are conversational and interactive, designed to keep students engaged while helping them progress toward their goals. I make use of interactive games, activities, and custom PowerPoint presentations to explain new material and review it in a fun, memorable way.

If you want to improve your spoken or written English, I’ll guide you through practical practice and feedback.

If you’re preparing for a test or working with a specific textbook or past exam, I’ll structure lessons around that.

For younger learners, I create lessons that are both educational and playful, making sure they stay motivated.

In one-to-one lessons, I make a point of getting to know my students personally, building rapport, and tailoring examples and practice to their interests and learning style. My aim is to help every student feel confident using English, whether that’s in school, exams, or everyday communication.
