Jonathan Zhang

I recently graduated from high school with strong academic achievement in mathematics. Throughout my high school experience, I developed effective study strategies and problem-solving skills that helped me understand and master mathematical concepts. I enjoy helping others learn and would love the opportunity to share the techniques and knowledge that contributed to my success. My goal is to build students' confidence, strengthen their understanding, and help them achieve their academic goals in math.

My lessons are based on structured worksheets that include clear explanations, annotated examples, and carefully selected practice problems designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of each topic. During each session, I work through concepts step by step, explaining not only how to solve problems but also why each method works. After the lesson, I provide homework with questions of varying difficulty, allowing students to reinforce what they have learned, build confidence, and gradually tackle more challenging problems at their own pace.

After students have developed a strong understanding of the material, I provide practice tests that closely follow the format used in Ontario high schools. These assessments include Knowledge, Thinking, Application, and Communication questions to help students become familiar with the expectations of classroom tests and exams. I also teach effective test-taking and review strategies so students can use these practice tests to identify areas for improvement and maximize their learning.

My tutoring is especially well suited for students who want to build a strong foundation in mathematics before the school semester begins. By learning concepts in advance, students can enter the classroom with greater confidence, making it easier to keep up with lessons and perform well throughout the course.
