In my classes, I always aim to balance theory and practice because I believe that true musical understanding comes from both knowing and doing. That’s why I usually split my lessons into two parts. One half is dedicated to hands-on work composing, orchestrating, working with MIDI, exploring sound design, or navigating a DAW like Reaper or Ableton. The other half focuses on music theory, harmony, form, orchestration techniques, and listening skills, all essential tools, I believe must be for any composer.
I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition and have experience lecturing at a university level. I’ve taught subjects such as composition, harmony, and soundtrack creation for games. I’ve also led workshops and extension courses designed to help students grow as artists and understand how music works in different contexts, especially in multimedia and interactive environments.
One thing I always prioritize is the individual response of each student. I observe how they react to each part of the lesson and use that to adapt my method to fit their needs, goals, and learning pace. If I notice a student is more responsive to practical challenges, I shift the focus there while gradually introducing the theoretical background. If the student is more analytical, we start from structure and move into application.
No matter your level, we’ll build a creative and personalized journey. My goal is to help you develop your musical ideas while also giving you the tools to express and reach your goals with confidence, so you won´t feel lost anymore.
