I like to make lessons fun and enjoyable. I am experienced in teaching online and enjoy teaching students of all abilities. We can have structured lessons or open conversations. It's important to keep practicing languages or we can lose some of that knowledge. I love learning about other people's countries and cultures.
I can talk about any of my interests, our new life in Costa Rica, or we can focus on professional language. In Business we often use words that many non-native English speakers find difficult to understand, so we could also focus on that.
My professional experience involved working for London local authorities, helping residents with their housing and homelessness. I have given presentations and written reports for a wide range of readers and my reports have been published online.
I have two small boys and my family and I are all learning Spanish so I can understand some of the issues we might have with new languages. We have experienced many ups and downs over the past year since we have been here but mostly it has all been fantastic! We love the mountains, beaches, jungles, plants, people and exotic animals we have encountered whilst we have been here.
I love watching sports, particularly English football and am a keen runner.
My love for travelling started with my first trip to East Africa when I was 18 and I have been fortunate enough to visit, countries in Asia, South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The Middle East and Eastern Europe are on my wish list.
