John Gibson

With over 25 years of experience working in Hospitality Management, I gained great knowledge training my staff and I used my communication skills to ensure the guests had the greatest most fulfilled stay in our resorts and hotels. I decided in 2004 to convert my talents toward a new career as a teacher.
I have now been a teacher to this day, teaching English as a Foreign Language to students of all ages and levels in both France and Thailand, as well as teaching online students from all over the world.
My expertise lies mainly in Hospitality, Business Management, and General English. I have mastered the TOEIC and I am very familiar with IELTS and Cambridge Bec. Most recently I work 6 years for a Thai international sugar company, teaching managers and staff all of whom were skilled engineers.
My approach is a simple fun friendly effective style. I want to instill confidence and provide a learning environment that is none stressful, clear, and concise. I adapt to each individual to shape a deliver a program suited to their needs, their level, and their goal.
Having personally learned a foreign language, I can appreciate all the difficulties, barriers, and frustrations of learning a foreign language.
I use modern technology to adapt to new techniques. I generally teach with an interactive approach using all 4 skills (Listening / Speaking / Reading / Writing). I focus mainly on listening and speaking in a controlled manner suited to the learners necessary objectives to boost confidence and fluency.
