Hi! I'm Joe, 23. I enjoy chess and sports in my spare time. I learn't maths in England, so I have experience taking and preparing for Maths GCSE and A-Level. My degree is in Maths and Economics at the University of Glasgow, I have just finished my final exams! I am able to help in any format that is suitable to you. My preference is to parallel the course you're currently studying covering everything you're unsure about.
As a teacher I endeavour to teach math as I prefer it taught, an emphasis on understanding the derivation of formulae and and the theoretical ideas for what formulae and processes represent, lots of diagrams! My personal experience is in pure maths at a university level, my final exams were on topics like topology and functional analysis, although I am not unfamiliar with applied maths.
Ideally our lessons would begin with getting familiar with what you tend to have difficulty with, and what you would like help with. I would then prepare content in the form of theory and questions for us to go over. I am able to do specific revision session where we go over a significant portion of the course.
What sets me apart as a teacher is my communication I am able to convey concepts clearly and concisely, I also tend to lean heavily on diagrams and visual representations as personally I find visualising what one is trying to do enormously helpful developing understanding and solving problems.
