At the age of ten, i moved from a small village in south east England, to Milan. I joined a European School suddenly found myself in a whole new environment. My school focused heavily on learning new languages, with half my lessons taught in either Italian or French. Whilst it was a fantastic opportunity, it was not met without challenges. I found teaching English through physical learning, a great way to facilitate a comfortable environment, and more importantly, to have fun!
However, for some pupils, auditory and visual learning was more beneficial. Through working on basic crosswords, puzzles, story telling or drawing, I was able to adapt lessons to suit there needs.
