Hi I'm Jody. I have just completed my first year of University, studying an integrated master's in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge. I have a passion for maths, physics, and chemistry: having chosen these subjects at A-level, I achieved 4 A*s. At GCSE level, I achieved 10 9s which demonstrates a high level of academic achievement. I know how to achieve highly in exams through personal and recent experience. I love helping people learn, and find tutoring genuinely rewarding. Outside of work, I love anything to do with sports and have a particular passion for rugby.
I am keen to tutor anything from GCSE to A-levels in Further Maths, Maths, Chemistry and Physics. As well as offering services for Oxbridge applications such as admission assessments and interview preparation. The most valuable thing I can add is the fact I have gone through the process very recently and was highly successful in my attempts.
My previous tutoring experience extends over 2 years including tutoring students with dyslexia. At an A-level standard. This has honed my skills in adapting my tutoring style in order to meet students requirements to effectively use our time together.
The lessons are adaptive to students' needs to ensure the presentation is engaging, optimizing the process for the most effective results. Often, they will involve talking about a topic and going through questions together to help understand the topic. The lessons will often be focussed around problem solving rather than a spoon feeding of information.
